The Black Experience: BPoC in Corporate Germany
Entrepreneurship · The Black Experience

Make diversity visible.
This is the guideline that we as ADAN e.V. have set for our work in the DACH region.
In the past year in particular, the topic of the representation of individuals with a migration biography in management positions and as employees within companies in the
D-A-CH region received an increasing focus. Through our network and our ADAN Career Day format, we are working intensively and consciously over the long term to address this gap within the labor sector in German-speaking countries and to give BPoC access to companies.
In the second event of our event series ‘The Black Experience: BPoC in Corporate Germany‘ we focus on BPoC in companies. The virtual event will take place on September 14th, 2021
7-8:30 p.m. and is a cooperation with the German-American Institute Saxony (DAIS) and the German-American Center (DAZ) based in Stuttgart.
How is it to gain a foothold as a BPoC in German companies? Is the corporate culture in Germany an inviting space for individuals with a migration background? Panelists: Nana Yaa Amoah (Senior Business Process Assistant, EZB), Bana Habtom (Senior Analyst for Project Finance at KFW DEG), Roger Di Padova (Head of Instrumentation and Functional Safety at Covestro) will be moderated by ADAN member Ans Osman (Customer Advisor, SAP) about their career in the respective companies and on it
discuss the nutritional value of BPoC in German corporate culture.
Participation in the event is free of charge and registration is done here
With our event series "The Black Experience", we want to highlight certain professional fields and the BPoC working in them. The goal is to amplify the voices within these sectors and make diversity visible, as well as provide a platform for respectful and thought-provoking dialogue.
